JS budget session begins

The budget session of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) for fiscal year (FY) 2022-23 began today with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.

The day's proceedings began around 5:10pm with the recitation from the Holy Quran.

It is the 18th session of the 11th parliament and the fourth budget session of the Awami League government that assumed office for third consecutive term after a landslide victory in the national election on December 30, 2018.
