Bus-microbus collision leaves 4 dead in Barishal

Four people were killed and 20 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a microbus in the new Shikherpool area of ​​Dhaka-Highway in Uzirpur of Barisal around 12 noon on Thursday.

Gournadi Highway Police Station OC Sheikh Bellal Hossain confirmed the deaths.

The deceased are Ruhul Amin, Abdur Rahman, Md. Hasan and Nurul Amin. All the deceased hailed from Konabari upazila of Gazipur were passengers of the microbus.

The bodies have been sent to Wazirpur Health Complex for autopsy.

It is known that the driver of the microbus lost control due to a punctured wheel and the four persons were killed in a head-on collision with a passenger bus coming from the opposite direction.
