626 new COVID cases, 5 deaths in a day

Bangladesh has recorded 626 cases of COVID-19 in a day.

Withthe latest ones, the overall tally of infections rose to 2,003,570.

The death toll from the disease climbed by five in 24 hours to 29,280, said DGHS on Wednesday.

As many as 9,162 samples were tested across the country and positivity rate is now 6.83 percent.

Among the eight divisions, Dhaka logged the highest number of cases, with 350 infections.
