Shop owners urge to end load-shedding

Bangladesh Shop Owners Association has urged the government to end load-shedding for the sake of small and micro enterprises.

They also urged the government to allow them to keep their shops open from 12 noon to 9pm.

Helal Uddin, president of the association, came up with the demand at a press conference at his office in Moghbazar in the capital.

He stated that because stores must close by 8 p.m. and there is load-shedding every day for one to two hours, traders are currently in a difficult situation.

He informed that traders are currently in a difficult situation as they have to close shops by 8pm and suffer the load-shedding for 1-2 hours daily.
