11 die after train, tourist microbus collide in Chattogram

At least 11 passengers of a microbus were killed after being hit by a train at a level crossing in Chittagong's Mirsrai on Friday aftrrnon.

Five people were injured in this incident.

Mirsrai police station officer-in-charge (OC) Kabir Hossain confirmed the deaths.

He said there were 13 passengers in the microbus. 11 passengers of the microbus were killed as train hit it at 2pm.

They were on their way back after seeing the Khayachara waterfall.

The identities of the victims were not immediately known. The injured have been admitted to hospital. Locals said that the Mahanagar Prabhati train pushed the microbus for about 1 km.
