Children's corona vaccine arrives in country

The first batch of Pfizer vaccine specially formulated for children aged five to 11 has arrived in the country, said Directorate General of Health Services.

Member Secretary of the Corona Vaccination Management Committee Shamsul Haque confirmed to The Daily Samakal that the vaccine has arrived in the country on Saturday afternoon.

In the first phase, 15 lakh two thousand 400 doses of vaccine have arrived in the country, he said, adding that the Ministry of Health has held several rounds of discussions with the Ministry of Education on the vaccination of children aged five to 11 years.

The venue and time will be announced soon to provide the vaccines, he added.
