Road crashes leave 739 dead across Bangladesh

In the 632 road traffic accidents registered across Bangladesh in July, there were a total of 739 fatalities and 2,042 injuries.

According to a survey released on Saturday by the Road Safety Foundation, motorcycles were the most often used vehicles in collisions and were responsible for the majority of fatalities last month.

The organization gathered information from nine print, seven internet, and two electronic news sources.

According to the research, motorcycles were to blame for 296 incidents, or 47.15 percent of all crashes, in July, which resulted in 251 fatalities, or 33.96 percent of the total.

Three-wheelers, trucks, buses, pick-up trucks, covered vans, and makeshift vehicles like Nosiman, Koriman, and other battery-run autorickshaws were all engaged in 221 accidents among the other vehicles.
