Long-route bus fare increased by 40 paisa per kilometer, Dhaka-Chittagong by 35 paisa

Bus fares have increased by up to 22% according to the concerned authorities.

Long-route bus fares would increase by 22% to Tk 2.20 per kilometer from the current Tk 1.80 per km.

The cost per km for city buses would increase by 16 percent to Tk 2.50 from the current Tk 2.15.

After a meeting with bus owners at the BRTA offices tonight, the chairman of the organization revealed the new fare.

The new fares would be effective from Sunday.
