Govt did not want specific info on money of Bangladeshis in Swiss banks: Swiss ambassador

Switzerland's ambassador in Dhaka, Nathalie Chuard, said that Bangladesh government has not asked for any specific information about illegal money kept in Swiss banks.

She said this at the 'Dicab Talk' organized by Diplomatic Correspondents Association Bangladesh (DICAB) at the National Press Club on Wednesday.

AKM Moin Uddin, general secretary of the organization gave a welcome speech at the event moderated by DICAB president Rezaul Karim Lotus.

Chuard responded that there had not been a request "regarding specific funds" when asked by a reporter whether the government had not requested information on money laundering.

Switzerland is committed to implementing international standards, she said.
