BFUJ demands emergency allowance of 60% of basic salary

BFUJ-Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists has demanded an emergency allowance of 60 percent of the basic salary of journalists and media workers in the current situation.

BFUJ President Omar Farooq and General Secretary Deep Azad demanded the formation of the 10th Wage Board and said in a statement on Wednesday that all the facilities of the government should be stopped for those who do not implement the recommendations of the 9th Wage Board and those who do not pay regular salaries.

Along with the implementation of the recommendations of the 9th Wage Board, the new pay structure should be announced by adjusting the current market rate and real inflation.
