Lalbagh Polythene factory fire doused

A fire that broke out in a polythene factory at 30 Devidwar Ghat of Lalbagh area in the Old Dhaka around 12 noon on Monday has been doused.

Khaleda Yasmin, the duty officer of the fire service control room told The Daily Samakal that ten units of the fire service are working to control the fire and finally the blaze was brought under control.

She said that the fire service started working within 9 minutes of the fire. Six units rushed to the spot and later four more units joined the fire extinguishing work.

The primary cause of the fire is not known, Assistant Director of Fire Service Shahjahan Sikder told The Daily Samakal adding that no casualty has yet been reported in the incident.
