Bangladesh raises launch fares 30%

The government increased launch trip prices by 30%. According to a notice from the Ministry of Shipping, the revised charges will become effective on Tuesday.

Fares will increase by Tk 0.70 to Tk 3 per kilometer for journeys of less than 100 kilometers. The rates will increase by Tk 0.60 to Tk 2.60 per kilometer for journeys longer than 100 kilometers, it said.
