Strike crosses a week, tea workers in food crisis

Tea workers are on an indefinite strike across the country demanding a daily wage of Tk 300.

Eighth day of strike is going on today (Saturday). They will not get their weekly attendance pay and ration tomorrow (Sunday) as they did not go to work due to the strike.

As a result, there will be a shortage of rice in the pots of many workers who are in need of food every day.
