Atique, Taposh get status of minister

The government has given minister status to Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Atiqul Islam and Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh.

Besides, Chittagong City Corporation Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury and Narayanganj City Corporation Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy received the status of State Minister.

All of them have been elected mayors as Awami League nominated candidates.

In the gazette notification signed by Cabinet Secretary Khandkar Anwarul Islam on Monday, said the mayors of these four city corporations have been assigned the status of Ministers and Ministers of State.
