2 female associates of PK Halder arrested

Two female associates of former NRB Global Bank Managing Director (MD) PK Halder were allegedly detained by Rapid Action Battalion as they tried to exit the country.

Director of Rab's Legal and Media wing Khandaker Al Moin acknowledged the development.

Rab will hold a press conference in this regard later in the day.

Proshanta Kumar Halder, often known as PK Halder, gained notoriety amid the nation's anti-casino campaigns in 2019.

PK Halder and his pals are charged with siphoning off thousands of crores of taka to India and other nations.

On the basis of a complaint from the government of Bangladesh, Interpol had issued a maximum alert against Halder in January of last year.

He was taken into custody on May 14 of this year in Ashoknagar, West Bengal, India.
