BFIU seeks bank account info of Wasa MD Taqsem

The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) of Bangladesh Bank has sought tThe bank account information for Wasa Managing Director Engineer Taqsem Khan and his family.

On Wednesday, the BFIU sent letters to the nation's banks requesting details about Taqsem Khan's bank accounts, a BFIU official revealed on condition of anonymity on Thursday.

The documentation must be submitted by Taqsem within five business days.

On August 17, the High Court ordered Taqsem A. Khan, the managing director of Dhaka Wasa, to present a report indicating the entire amount of income he received in salary, bonuses, and other benefits during the previous 13 years.

The local government secretary, the Dhaka Wasa board, the Wasa chairman, and the Wasa managing director were made defendants and were asked to reply to the order within four weeks.

Therefore, the Wasa chairman and managing director must submit the salary report within the next 60 days.
