4 killed in Ukhia road crash

Four people were killed and one was injured in a road accident at Hijliya of Ukhia Upazila of Cox's Bazar around 10:30 am on Saturday.

This information was confirmed by the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ukhia Police Station, Sheikh Mohammad Ali.

The identity of the casualties is not known yet.

The OC said that a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw carrying passengers from Ukhia to Cox's Bazar collided with the Teknaf-bound truck. Three passengers of the autorickshaw were killed on the spot. Another person later died on the way to the hospital. An injured passenger has been admitted to hospital. His condition is critical.

He also said that the body were recovered by sending the police to the spot. Also, two vehicles have been seized.
