'Bangladesh sets example in global economy'

Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal today said Bangladesh has set an example in global economy as the country achieved remarkable economic growth despite global economic meltdown, according to a release.

 

"Bangladesh would be the 28th developed country in the world in 2041 and the present government is working to fulfill the target," he said while speaking as the chief guest at a function at Dohar Nababganj yesterday.

 

Dohar Nababganj College organised the program on the occasion of its golden jubilee with president of the governing body of the college Salma Islam, MP, in the chair release said.

 

Convener of the golden jubilee committee Nasir Uddin Ahmed Jhilu delivered the welcome speech, while director general of Shilpakala Academy Liaqot Ali Lucky, founder member of the college Hasanuzzaman Khan and Principal Manobendra Dutta addressed the occasion.

 

The minister said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working with utmost devotion sincerity and courage to materialize the dream of Bangabandhu.

 

Lawmaker Advocate Salma Islam said the country's education sector has already progressed, especially female education expanded.

 

She urged the government to continue the development work aimed further improvement of the education sector in the country, it added.
