Markets see green on Monday

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed gain in share price indices on Monday, the second day of trade week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 12.28 points or 0.22 percent to stand at 5558.57 points at the end of trading.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) rose over 4.24 points or 0.32 percent to stand at 1299.02 points.

The DS30 index, also gain over 13.51 points or 0.67 percent to stand at 2024.75 points.

Trade deals stood at 181,621 with transaction over Tk 10935.01 million. Of the issues traded, 119 advanced, 174 declined and 36 remained unchanged.

The Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 469.05 million having changed hands.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, rose over 24.46 points to stand at 10420.73 points.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 114 gained, 125 declined and 24 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 685.52 million.
