Bourses witness gain Tuesday

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday, the third day of trade week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 33.65 points or 0.60 percent to stand at 5622.49 points at the end of trading.

However, the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) rose over 5.17 points or 0.39 percent to stand at 1307.41 points.

The DS30 index, also gain over 14.51 points or 0.71 percent to stand at 2031.73 points.

Trade deals stood at 157,366 with transaction over Tk 11275.64 million. Of the issues traded, 162 advanced, 119 declined and 49 remained unchanged.

The LankaBangla Finance Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 572.06 million having changed hands.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, rose over 62.02 points to stand at 10556.88 points.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 123 gained, 94 declined and 34 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 629.54 million.
