Share market see up
The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Thursday, last day of trade week.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 21.63 points or 0.38 percent to stand at 5671.61 points at the end of trading.
However, the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) rose over 3.04 points or 0.23 percent to stand at 1312.17 points.
The DS30 index, also gain over 8.64 points or 0.42 percent to stand at 2049.63 points.
Trade deals stood at 174,990 with transaction over Tk 11853.63 million. Of the issues traded, 157 advanced, 122 declined and 51 remained unchanged.
The Bangladesh Export Import Company Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 425.06 million having changed hands.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, rose over 46.39 points to stand at 10653.40 points.
Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 132 gained, 77 declined and 42 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 642.49 million.
