Bourses witness gain Tuesday

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday, the third day of trade week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 21.53 points or 0.38 percent to stand at 5681.25 points at the end of trading.

However, the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) rose over 2.39 points or 0.18 percent to stand at 1309.66 points.

The DS30 index, also gain over 0.26 points or 0.01 percent to stand at 2043.64 points.

Trade deals stood at 149,341 with transaction over Tk 9647.96 million. Of the issues traded, 140 advanced, 150 declined and 36 remained unchanged.

The IFIC Bank Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 313.21 million having changed hands.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, rose over 35.95 points to stand at 10675.17 points.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 114 gained, 109 declined and 29 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 672.00 million.
