Bourses witness gain Tuesday

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) witnessed gain in share price indices on Tuesday, the third day of trade week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained over 29.13 points or 0.51 percent to stand at 5724.85 points at the end of trading.

However, the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) lost over 4.76 points or 0.36 percent to stand at 1300.43 points.

The DS30 index, also gain over 4.37 points or 0.21 percent to stand at 2065.91 points.

Trade deals stood at 173,606 with transaction over Tk 12630.01 million. Of the issues traded, 129 advanced, 169 declined and 28 remained unchanged.

The AB Bank Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 736.25 million having changed hands.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, rose over 49.63 points to stand at 10765.52 points.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 107 gained, 124 declined and 24 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 940.61 million.
