DSE, CSE see gain Wednesday

The two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed gain in share price indices on Wednesday, the second last day of trade week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gain over 11.45 points or 0.20 percent to stand at 5736.30 points at the end of trading.

However, the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) rose over 1.00 points or 0.07 percent to stand at 1301.43 points.

The DS30 index, also gain over 11.21 points or 0.54 percent to stand at 2077.13 points.

Trade deals stood at 173,697 with transaction over Tk 12903.82 million. Of the issues traded, 141 advanced, 139 declined and 49 remained unchanged.

The Bangladesh Export Import Company Ltd. topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 465.15 million having changed hands.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also followed the suit, as CSCX, the prime index of the port city bourse, rose over 25.80 points to stand at 10791.32 points.

Of the issues traded in the port city share market, 130 gained, 106 declined and 31 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 810.51 million.
