Inflation dropped to 8.85 percent in November

Planning Minister MA Mannan said inflation has come down to 8.85 percent in last November which was 8.91 percent in October.

In a press conference at the Planning Ministry on Monday, the Planning Minister disclosed the latest inflation data.

He said overall inflation has decreased mainly due to the decrease in food inflation.

He said, “The inflation rate was 9.10 percent in September and 9.52 percent in August. Food prices fell by 8.14 percent in November from 8.50 percent in the previous month.”

The Planning Minister said that inflation is likely to decrease further in December compared to November.

He is optimistic that the overall growth will also go to seven percent as the price of oil and gas is reduced worldwide as per the target.
