Price reduction of Tk5 per liter of soybean oil

The cost of bottled soybean oil has been decreased by Tk5 per litre, starting from December 18.

A one-litre container of soybean oil will now cost Tk187 instead of Tk192 thanks to the revised rate, according to a Thursday press statement from the commerce ministry.

In addition, the cost of a five-litre container of soybean oil has decreased, from Tk925 to Tk906 now.

Palm oil is now being sold for Tk117 per litre, down from Tk121, while loose oil is now Tk167 per litre, down from Tk172.

The administration decided the new rates after a meeting held on Tuesday to analyse imports, stockpiles, and costs of everyday necessities.
