Stocks increase as investors hope for supportive monetary policy

Today's morning session saw a little increase in Dhaka stocks as investors began purchasing shares in anticipation of the Bangladesh Bank announcing a favorable monetary policy Sunday afternoon.

At roughly 12:55 pm, the DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), increased 20 points, or 0.33 percent, to 6,235.

93 stocks rose, 70 fell, and 171 stayed unchanged on the DSE.

The DSE's revenue exceeded Tk 500 crore.
