Gold price downed to Tk96,695 per bhori

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has cut the price of the precious metal by Tk1,750 per bhori.

The Bajus stated in a statement on Sunday that the decrease in the price of gold on the local market was a factor in determining the new pricing.

At the new price as of Monday, a bhori of 22-carat gold will cost Tk96,695.

In addition, the cost of 18- and 21-carat gold decreased to Tk79,140 and Tk92,321 per bhori, respectively.

The usual process costs Tk65,960 for the gold. 

On April 15, Bajus increased the cost of gold by Tk1,283 per bhori, to Tk98,444.
