Salted cowhide price Tk50-55 per sqft in Dhaka

The government has fixed the price of salted cowhide at Tk 50-55 per square foot in Dhaka, which was Tk 47-52 last year. Outside the capital, cowhide price was fixed at Tk 45-55, which was Tk 40-44 last year. Essentially, the price was hiked 6 per cent this year.

A meeting to set the prices of rawhides and skins of sacrificial animals during the Eid-ul-Azha was held at the Ministry of Commerce on Sunday. After the meeting, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi announced the prices at a press conference.

Besides, the prices of goat hides were unchanged at Tk 18-20 per square foot, and those of baqri hides at Tk 12-14.
