General point to point inflation falls to 9.74% in June

The general point-to-point inflation rate in June has fallen to 9.74 per cent, a 0.2 per cent drop from the previous month, according to data released by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).

Bangladesh recorded an inflation rate of 9.94 per cent in May, the highest in a decade, according to the data released Monday.

Food inflation stood at 9.73 per cent in June, an increase from 9.24 per cent in May and non-food inflation hit 9.6 per cent, down from 9.96 per cent in the previous month.
