12kg LPG price goes up by Tk 144

The price of 12kg of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been increased by Tk 144, said Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC).

12kg cylinders will be sold for Tk 1,284 instead of Tk 1,140, the BERC made the announcement at a news conference held Sunday at its office in the capital.

According to BERC chairman Md Nurul Amin, the new price will take effect from 6.00 p.m. on Sunday.

He stated that costs for other LPG cylinders, weighing anywhere between 5.5kg and 45kg, will rise accordingly.

He continued by saying that the cost of LPG for automobiles will be Tk 58.87 per litre and Tk 107.01 per kilogram.
