Five crore pieces of eggs to be imported

Five companies will import five crore pieces of more eggs to bring stability in the kitchen market.

The government took decision to give permission to five companies and enterprises afresh to import one crore pieces of eggs by each company.

The companies include Union Venture Limited, JFJ Paradise Connection, Layek Enterprise and M/S Pinki Traders.

The government had earlier permitted for importing some 10 crore pieces of eggs. 

Right now, the daily demand for eggs in the country is 4 crore.
