Stocks open up on Sunday

The market began Sunday with rising stock prices.

The benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), known as DSEX, recorded a turnover of Tk115.81 crore at 10.40 am, rising 2.43 points to 6291 points.

The blue-chip index, DS-30, increased by 1 point to 2141 points, while the DSE Shariah index dropped by 0.6 points to 1362 points.

Of the traded equities, there were gains in 85, declines in 49, and no change in 94.

Libra Infusion and United Insurance were the top gainers, with gains of 17.89% and 5.92%, respectively, to Tk1587 and Tk62.6.
