Gold prices spike to record high

The price of gold has increased in the local market again. The price of 22-carat gold was hiked by Tk 1,750 per bhori as the fresh price of per bhori gold would be Tk 1,06,376. This is the highest price of gold in the country's history.

The new price will be made effective from Sunday, the Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (Bajus) announced through a press release on Saturday.

The price of silver was kept unchanged.
