Dissolve NBL board of directors: BB

The Bangladesh Bank on Thursday has directed to dissolve the board of directors of National Bank Limited.

A central bank letter issued Thursday directed the bank's managing director (MD) to inform all of the dissolution. Meanwhile, the BB has also formed a new board for the bank.

According to the letter, the board of directors was dissolved due to various acts of irregularities and corruption.

The new board of directors has seven members and will be headed by Syed Farhat Anwar, a former professor at Dhaka University.
