Gold price goes up by Tk1,750 per bhori

The price of gold reached a new high as the precious metal's worth increased by Tk1,750 per bhori for the second time in a week.

The Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (BAJUS) said in a press release on Saturday that the price of a 22-carat gold bhori had increased to Tk1.11 lakh.

The association raised the price, citing a rise in the rate of pure gold in the local market.

The revised price lists the cost of an 18-carat gold piece at Tk90,863 and the cost of a 21-carat piece per bhori at Tk1.06 lakh.

Moreover, the price of traditional gold has increased to Tk75,699 per bhori.
