Gold price drops

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has announced a reduction in gold prices across the country, one day after it had announced a price hike.

The price of 22-carat gold was fixed at Tk 1,10,691 per bhori, as per a BAJUS press release. The new prices will be effective from Friday (January 19).

Previously, the BAJUS had raised the price of gold on Wednesday. The previous price of 22-carat gold was fixed at Tk 1,12,441.

The price of silver was kept unchanged.
