Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has
removed the floor price of stocks to bring back vibrancy in the market.
In the first hour of trading, the prices fell rapidly.
However, the price fall is likely to slow down.
At 11am on Sunday, 359 out of 392 shares were traded. After
an hour, DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), lost 141
points to settle at 6,195 points. Turnover after an hour was Tk 206 crores,
which was nearly Tk 32 lakh more than the last day of trade (Thursday).
