3 cargo LNG to be imported from Singapore

To meet the ever-rising demand for fuel in the country, the government has decided to import 3 cargoes of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) from two suppliers in Singapore.

Approval for the purchase at the cost of Tk 12,74,11,76,520 was given at a Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) meeting held Wednesday. Finance Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali chaired the meeting.

Cabinet Division Additional Secretary Sayeed Mabub Khan confirmed the matter to journalists after the meeting.
