After experiencing a downward trend over the preceding five sessions, stocks in the Dhaka and Chittagong stock markets have rebounded as investors have remained vigilant regarding sector-specific issues.
Following volatility, the Dhaka Stock Exchange's (DSEX) main index rose by 35 points, or 0.57%, to settle at 6,166.14. Both the DSE Shariah Index (DSES), which closed at 1,343.01, up 2.65 points, and the DSE 30 Index, which contains blue chips, ended the day higher at 2,106.35, up 8.63 points.
Of the 396 issues that were traded on the DSE trading floor, 175 saw rises, 156 saw falls, and 65 saw no change.
Daily trade turnover on the main exchange of the country decreased to Tk 7,303.95 million from Tk 8,437.26 million in the previous week's session.
FUWANGCER led the turnover list, closely followed by Fortune, Aftab Auto, Central PHL, and BEACONPHAR.
FirstFIN saw a loss of 6%, while Paramount was the day's biggest gainer with a gain of 9.91%.
The CSE All Share Price Index (CASPI) gained 49.85 points to close at 17,645.33, while the Selective Categories Index (CSCX) increased 30.08 points to conclude at 10,589.24. There was also a revival of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE).
