WASA hikes water price

Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has decided to hike the price of water by 10 per cent from 1 July. 

In a press release issued Wednesday, WASA said the price was hiked to adjust the price with the ongoing inflation. 

The new price of each 1 thousand litres of water for residential consumers was fixed at Tk 16.70, which was previously Tk 15.18. The same volume of water will cost commercial consumers Tk 46.20, which was previously Tk 42.
