Company to be established to manage Padma Bridge operations

The government has taken decision to set up a separate company to manage the Padma Multipurpose Bridge.

The decision came from cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday.

Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain, who briefed reporters after the meeting, said the company will be named Padma Bridge Operations and Maintenance Company PLC.

The company will take responsibilities for maintenance, toll collection, and other operations.
