Banks asked to freeze accounts of Asaduzzaman Khan, family

The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has asked all banks to freeze the accounts of former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, his wife Lutful Tahmina Khan, as well as their son and daughter.

In a letter, the BFIU asked the banks to block all types of withdrawals through all kinds of accounts of Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and his family members.

This direction came after getting reports about suspicious transactions in their names, said a senior official of the BFIU.
