Prof Abdul Hannan Chowdhury made Grameen Bank chairman

The government has appointed Professor Dr Abdul Hannan Chowdhury as the new chairman of Grameen Bank.

A notification in this regard has been been issued on Tuesday by the Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance.

The tenure of Prof Chowdhury will be three years from the date of his joining. 

The order will come into effect immediately.

Abdul Hannan is now working as a professor at the School of Business and Economics (SBE) at North South University (NSU).
