Chinese company YiXin to invest $ 7.45 million in BEPZA EZ

Chinese company YiXin Bangladesh Co. Ltd. has decided to set up a shoe accessories manufacturing industry in BEPZA Economic Zone (BEPZA EZ). 

An agreement to this effect was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and YiXin Bangladesh Co. Ltd. at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka on Sunday.

The company will invest $ 7.45 million to produce annually 10 million pairs of footwear materials, creating employment opportunity for 1,509 Bangladeshi nationals. 

BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman was present on the occasion.

Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Md. Ashraful Kabir and Managing Director of YiXin Bangladesh Jian, Zaiyi signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.

BEPZA Executive Chairman thanked YiXin Bangladesh Co. to invest in Bangladesh, specially, in BEPZA EZ.

He urged the investors to start the construction of the factory as soon as possible.

Member (Engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, Member (Finance) ANM Foyzul Haque, Executive Director (Admin) ASM Zamshed Khondaker, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md. Tanvir Hossain, Project Director of BEPZA EZ Mohammad Anamul Haque and Executive Director (Public Relations) A.S.M Anwar Parvez along with representatives of the enterprise were present during the signing ceremony.
