ACC launches investigation against ex-BFIU chief Masud Biswas

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has started investigation against former chief of the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) Masud Biswas.

The move came following allegation of graft, ACC’s public relations officer (PRO) Akhtarul Islam.

According to the complaints Masud Biswas facilitated irregularities by accepting bribes from top corrupt officials during the previous government, he said.

Akhtarul Islam added that Masud Biswas had a silent role in laundering crores of money in connection with 20 major incidents.
