BB orders banks to pay March salaries by 23rd

Bangladesh Bank (BB) has asked all banks and financial institutions to pay salaries and allowances of employees for the current month by March 23.

The central bank also instructed to clear the payments of retirement allowances for pensioners by the same date.

BB issued two circulars to this end.

Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to be observed across Bangladesh on March 31, subject to moon sighting.
