Bank branches at RMG industrial areas to remain open on March 28-29

Bangladesh Bank (BB) has given direction to the branches of the scheduled banks located in the readymade garments (RMG) industrial areas to remain open on March 28-29 to facilitate payment of garment workers' salary, Eid bonus, allowances and export-import activities.

Bangladesh Bank (BB) gave the directive to the scheduled banks through a circular on Monday.

The central bank has asked banks to continue operation before Eid-ul-Fitr in the branches located near garments industrial areas in Dhaka city, Ashulia, Tongi, Gazipur, Savar, Bhaluka, Narayanganj, and Chattogram ensuring adequate security.

Accoeding to the circular, clients will be able to do banking from 10am and 12pm on March 28 and 10am to 1pm on March 29. 

But, bank will remain open from 10am and 3pm on March 28 and 10am to 2pm on Marc
