Fuel price reduced by Tk 1 for May

The Interim Government has decided to reduce fuel price by Tk 1 for the month of May 2025.

“The new price schedule will be effective from May 01, 2025,” a release of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division (EMRD) under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources stated on Wednesday evening.

This decision of reduction of the fuel prices was taken to ensure supply of fuel at a relatively affordable price, in line with the decrease or increase in the price of fuel oil in the world market, it said.

The selling price of diesel has been reduced by Tk 1.00 per liter from Tk 105 to 104, kerosene from Tk 105 to 104, octane from Tk 126 to 125, petrol Tk 122 to 121, the EMRD release added.
