Gas supply to RMG factories to increase from today: Fouzul

The gas supply to ready-made garment (RMG) factories will increase from Saturday, said Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan.

He made the assurance after inspecting a power plant in the newly developed zone of the Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ) in Ashulia, Savar in the morning.

He informed the journalists that four new LNG cargoes had arrived and for this reason, there will be no gas shortage from today.

Fouzul, also the adviser to the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, also visited the office of the Palli Bidyut Samity Dhaka-1 in Ashulia. 

Senior officials from the Bangladesh Army and Palli Bidyut Samity were present during the visit.
